What are Uterine Fibroids?
Fibroids are benign nodules that affect the smooth muscles of the uterus, very common, affecting up to 70-80% of women at any age. Mainly responsible for the surgical removal of the uterus, its main symptom is irregular and increased menstrual bleeding. However, most cases are asymptomatic, that is, patients discover by chance in routine exams, requiring only follow-up and control with ultrasound and / or magnetic resonance imaging.
